Ian Ritchie, director of RWA Group, picks out some interesting items from the week's news

A couple of unrelated items of news caught my eye this week and in their own way they give me concerns for the future of our own industry, writes Ian Ritchie, director at RWA Group.

First, was the observation from a specialist mobile phone insurer that the incidence of new loss or damage claims jumps by about 50% during the month that a new version of the iphone is launched. Apparently many phone owners can only go for so long realising that they are a generation behind the latest must-have spec before they resort to extreme measures. No doubt they see it as a victimless crime, if they see it as a crime at all. To read more click here.
