More than 12 million people are set to switch utilities or insurance provider in search of 'better service', according to research.
Findings from Home 3 Assistance reveal that and one in five (21%) of consumers say that quality service is more important than cost when choosing a package or policy while four in ten (42%) of customers claimed they would switch providers immediately if they experienced bad service.
Steve Narey, product and marketing director at Home 3 Assistance, said: “Our research reveals a clear shift in consumer behaviour as customers seek out better service as well as value for money when choosing a service provider. With the average UK household spending £212 on home insurance and £487 on utility bills in the last year, suppliers need to focus on their service offering if they are going to retain customers in an increasingly competitive market.”
