Arista Insurance has appointed Neil Wormald as broker development manager for the North East.
In his new role, Mr Wormald will be responsible for managing the existing panel of broker partners and identify further opportunities for Arista in the region.
He brings over 20 years insurance experience to the role and has extensive experience of the local market and commercial insurance.
He joins Arista from NIG where he was previously regional manager based in Leeds.
Mr Wormald will continue to be based in Leeds, reporting to Paul Dooley, Arista's regional manager for the North, and will be supported by Arista's 12 strong underwriting team in Manchester.
Commenting on the appointment, Charles Earle, Arista chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have secured someone of Neil’s proven abilities to support our broker partners and expand Arista's footprint in the North East. I know Neil well and his abilities are perfectly aligned to Arista’s expanding ambitions for the North East market; a crucial and long-established insurance centre for the UK."
