It is the first time the insurance division has branched out into boxing after making its name in the professional football arena.

Paul Fielding, sports division manager at CBG Group, commented: “CBG Sports has built up an unrivalled reputation for providing some of sport’s leading stars with a comprehensive and bespoke insurance broking service.

“Hatton Promotions is set to become one of the most successful boxing promoters in the UK, so adding the company to our rapidly expanding client portfolio is a major coup for the division. It also signals out intent to grow the division by expanding into a wide range of professional sports.”

Gareth Williams, CEO of Hatton Promotions, said: “Hatton Promotions intends to host a wide range of premier boxing events throughout the UK this year; it was essential that we had comprehensive and bespoke insurance protection to adequately cover each venue.

“CBG Sports has proved that it has a thorough understanding of the unique requirements of professional sportspeople and sports-related companies. By working with a carefully selected panel of specialist insurance companies, it was able to provide us with extensive advice and protection that was specifically tailored to meet our needs.”
